In-House Powertrain Calibration
The 2023 McLaren GTS is the sportier evolution of the GT grand tourer, featuring a more powerful M840TE 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 631 HP and 479 ft-lbs, a meaningful increase over the standard GT. McLaren revised the boost control strategy and added sport-oriented exhaust tuning, but the ECU calibration still maintains conservative margins that leave room for safe, in-house ECU recalibration.
Our Stage 1 calibration for the 2023 GTS adds +68 HP and +80 TQ, bringing total output to approximately 699 HP and 559 ft-lbs. We push the revised boost targets further, optimize ignition timing for 93 octane, and refine the throttle response to match the GTS's sportier character. The result bridges the gap between the GT's refinement and Super Series aggression, more decisive acceleration, quicker throttle response, and a more engaging driving experience while retaining the comfort and usability that define the GTS. Stage 2 delivers 716 HP and 609 TQ. ECU map switching and antilag available as add-ons. Developed in-house by Mega 3 Performance.
