M2R M c Laren Package 1550HP Complete Build

The M2R Program is the next evolution of performance for the McLaren P14 platform, engineered for customers seeking a more aggressive and capable powertrain package while retaining OEM-level refinement and drivability. Building upon the foundation established by the M1R, the M2R transforms the P14 into a purpose-built high-performance system capable of producing approximately 1,000HP and 800TQ on premium unleaded fuel. When equipped with the race calibration and race fuel, output increases to an extraordinary 1,550HP and 950TQ.

Build Process

Every build begins with a comprehensive vehicle detail and multi-point inspection before the engine and transmission are carefully removed by M3P's highly trained technicians. The powertrain is then completely disassembled and meticulously inspected by our engine shop, where it receives a series of premium internal upgrades including CP-Carrillo billet steel connecting rods, forged aluminum CP-Carrillo pistons, CNC-ported cylinder heads, and additional proprietary enhancements engineered to support substantially increased airflow, elevated cylinder pressures, and sustained high-performance operation.

Once assembly is complete, the powertrain is reinstalled and paired with M3P's next-level in-house engineered turbo system featuring proprietary dual-pass air-to-water intercoolers with advanced internal surface features integrated into their 3D-printed AL6061 end tanks, a fully 3D-printed Inconel exhaust system, and an upgraded high-flow aluminum intake manifold — all developed entirely in-house.

Every component has been engineered using advanced CAD modeling and high-resolution 3D scan data to maximize packaging efficiency, airflow optimization, thermal management, and overall system performance. Extensive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and real-world validation testing have resulted in what we believe is one of the most advanced and efficient P14 upgrade packages available today.

The M2R transaxle package builds upon the proven M1R foundation with additional reinforcement upgrades engineered to withstand significantly higher torque loads. The system includes M3P billet AL6061 differential and rear gearbox covers, designed to substantially improve transaxle rigidity and structural stiffness under extreme operating conditions.

To support power levels exceeding 1,500 horsepower, the factory fuel system required a complete redesign. The OEM fuel cell and internal pump assembly were never intended to sustain the fuel volume demanded at this performance level. The M2R fuel system addresses these limitations through a fully engineered triple-fuel-pump configuration utilizing custom pump hangers and a proprietary fuel tank solution designed specifically for high-output applications.

Every M2R vehicle built by M3P is backed by a 24-month / 24,000-mile limited powertrain warranty (whichever occurs first; restrictions apply).
