In-House Powertrain Calibration
The 2022 720S represents a mature and thoroughly proven platform. The M840T 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8's fundamental strength at 710 HP / 720 PS / 529 kW and 568 lb-ft / 770 Nm has been validated across five full years of production.
Stage 1 calibration adds up to 125 HP / 127 PS / 93 kW and 115 lb-ft / 156 Nm, reaching approximately 835 HP / 847 PS / 623 kW and 683 lb-ft / 926 Nm.
Stage 2 delivers up to 165 HP / 167 PS / 123 kW and 160 lb-ft / 217 Nm over stock, hitting approximately 875 HP / 887 PS / 652 kW and 728 lb-ft / 987 Nm. Calibration work on the 720S unlocks performance that fully realizes the M840T's potential.
All calibrations are developed for 91 octane and 93 octane fuel. Custom calibrations are available for 100 octane or other race fuels. Map switching and antilag are offered as add-on options.
