In-House Powertrain Calibration
The 675LT is McLaren's "Longtail" track-focused variant, lighter, more aerodynamic, and more powerful than the 650S it's based on. Its M838T 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 666 HP and 516 ft-lbs from the factory, with upgraded turbochargers, revised exhaust, and a more aggressive factory ECU map. Despite being closer to the engine's limits than the standard 650S, the 675LT still carries conservative factory margins that our calibrations are specifically designed to address.
Our Stage 1 calibration for the 2016 675LT adds +80 HP and +80 TQ, pushing total output to approximately 746 HP and 596 ft-lbs. We optimize boost pressure targets beyond the factory ceiling, advance ignition timing at key RPM points, and refine the fueling strategy for consistent power delivery on 93 octane fuel. The result is a 675LT that feels noticeably more alive at mid-range RPM, with quicker spool and a stronger top-end pull. Stage 2 raises output to 771 HP and 616 TQ. Our antilag system pairs perfectly with the 675LT's track-oriented character, and ECU map switching allows you to run stock calibration when needed.
