In-House Powertrain Calibration
In its second production year, the 2015 650S benefited from McLaren's refinements to the M838T platform. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 641 HP / 650 PS / 478 kW and 500 lb-ft / 678 Nm, and the 650S was available in both coupe and Spider variants, both sharing identical powertrain calibration and tuning potential.
Our Stage 1 ECU calibration adds up to 80 HP / 81 PS / 60 kW and 80 lb-ft / 108 Nm, lifting output to approximately 721 HP / 731 PS / 538 kW and 580 lb-ft / 786 Nm.
Stage 2 adds up to 105 HP / 106 PS / 78 kW and 100 lb-ft / 136 Nm over stock for a total of roughly 746 HP / 756 PS / 556 kW and 600 lb-ft / 813 Nm. No hardware changes required, these are pure software gains that preserve your factory reliability.
All calibrations are developed for 91 octane and 93 octane fuel. Custom calibrations are available for 100 octane or other race fuels. Optional add-ons include ECU map switching for toggling between tunes and antilag for sharper turbo response.
