In-House Powertrain Calibration
With 592 HP and 457 ft-lbs from the M838TE 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, the 2018 McLaren 600LT is already a serious performance machine. But McLaren's factory ECU calibration still maintains conservative boost and timing margins, margins that our in-house engineering team has spent years learning to safely exploit on this exact platform through extensive dyno testing and real-world validation.
Stage 1 unlocks +80 HP and +80 TQ for a total of approximately 672 HP and 537 ft-lbs. The improvement targets the areas where the factory tune is most conservative: peak boost pressure, mid-range ignition advance, and throttle pedal response mapping. The 600LT's top-exit exhaust and improved airflow mean it responds exceptionally well to calibration changes. The result is more aggressive acceleration, quicker turbo spool, and a noticeably stronger pull from 4,000 RPM to redline. Our Stage 2 calibration takes total output to 697 HP and 557 TQ. All tunes are optimized for 93 octane fuel, with ECU map switching and antilag available. Developed entirely in-house by Mega 3 Performance.
