In-House Powertrain Calibration
McLaren's 570S uses the M838TE, a software-detuned version of the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 found in the 650S and 675LT. In 2016 factory spec, it produces 562 HP and 443 ft-lbs, but the engine internals, turbos, and exhaust system can safely handle significantly more output. This makes the 570S one of the most rewarding McLaren platforms to tune, delivering exceptional gains relative to cost.
Our Stage 1 calibration for the 2016 570S adds +80 HP and +80 TQ through optimized boost pressure curves, advanced ignition timing, and improved fuel injection mapping. Total output rises to 642 HP and 523 ft-lbs, effectively closing the gap to a factory 650S while keeping the 570S's lower weight advantage. The improvement is felt immediately: quicker turbo spool off idle, a stronger surge of power through the mid-range, and more authority at highway speeds. Stage 2 unlocks 667 HP and 543 TQ for those targeting track performance. All calibrations are developed in-house by Mega 3 Performance, with antilag and map switching available for maximum versatility.
